Hi Friends,

The details are coming together...

I will catch you up on some of those details.  We are so excited to be on the home stretch.

My coffee bar is set.  The plumbing is done.  Forgot to get a picture of that.

We added these panels to better separate the sitting room from the entry hall.

I have had so much fun choosing the lighting for this project.  Below are the Goodman Hanging Lamps.  The antique farmhouse table we bought in New Orleans will sit under them.

                          

I found these little sconces at Aidan Gray.  They are hung in the banquette and are a great compliment to the Goodmans. You can't tell in these photos but there are brass accents on the Goodmans and so the antique gold on the Aidan Gray sconces balance well.

I have etched glass bell jars hanging all the way down the hallway.  I ordered them from The Enchanted Home. 

Here are a few details from the mudroom.  Terrible photos. 

On the opposite end of the hall is the laundry room.  I love the Kohler sink.  The vintage lighting came from Round Top.  Both rooms are painted in Boothbay Gray.

The BEVOLOS are IN!!! 

We chose three different styles which was the recommendation of the Bevolo sales rep.  The one on the right is for a private entrance off of our laundry room.  The one below is on the covered porch off of our kitchen and the row of lanterns will highlight our courtyard.

I feel like there should be an entire post about this tile.  Maybe after I get the whole bathroom finished.  Let's just say that it was a bit stressful waiting for these little beauties.  The wait included a proof of life photo, some discussion about driving south of the border to pick them up ourselves and what in the world would we do if the tiles were not going to show up. Ever.

Here we are back in the kitchen.  The French Antique lanterns are perfect over the marble island.

Again, terrible lighting but the color matches beautifully.  We bought these in July while in New Orleans.  They have been sitting in "The Locker" aka our dining room for months.

Below is the appliance garage.  The cabinets will hide all of the "ugly" useful things in my life like another coffee maker, blender, and toaster.  The marble counter top is carried all the way inside the cabinet.

The sconces above the window seats are from Visual Comfort.  The hardware is in unlacquered brass.  There will be a custom fireplace screen that will also have some brass details.  Get with it people, brass is back!  Modern, unlacquered brass.  Not your mama's 80s brass.

Tucker has the entire space under the stairs for his closet.  He has started calling it his hidey hole and we let him design the back sloping area for playing.  I picked this light up at Red in Fredericksburg for his closet.  It is made from reclaimed rulers.

This is another Aidan Gray beauty for the guest bedroom in the old part of the house.

Scott's bar is a work in progress.  It will have custom glass and metal shelves.  The surface is soapstone just like the mudroom, laundry room, and outdoor kitchen.

Here are some little French style shutters that the carpenters made for our little window in the hallway.

This is the Powder Room.  The sink is the antique French sink that my mom found in Fredericksburg at Carol Hicks Bolton.  I love that place!  We've found several other treasures there now.

The lighting is from Aidan Gray.  I totally lucked out and found this on sale at Gray Living.  Normally they only sell sconces in pairs.  This was a single which is all we needed. The vintage mirror came from Cielo in Boerne.

Luke's bathroom still needs hardware and mirror.  I forgot to take pictures of Tucker's bathroom.  It turned out so well.  Both boys love their OWN bathrooms.  It will be dreamy for the whole family after sharing for. so. long.

Back in the Entry Hall, here's another little detail.  We had Sheryl and Cristal from Creative Finishes do a faux finish on the surface of the fireplace and add a vintage inspired monogram.  The detailed photo is the proof they sent before we got started.

Below is the doorway that we have turned into a bookshelf for the Sitting Room.  The antique French shutters came from Round Top.  They are installed like actual shutters  I love the cremone bolt detail.

Ta Da! Back in the kitchen, Meet Charles Eduard my beautiful Lacanche range.  He traveled a great distance to come live with me here in Texas.  My hands were literally sweating watching him being taken off of the truck and uncrated.  I left and let them figure out how to get him inside. I know we will be great friends.  Isn't he hot?

Right off the breakfast room is my office and craft room.  The lighting is from Aidan Gray.  We are working on installing a bulletin board backsplash.  There are now poles installed on the far right for ribbon and wrapping paper.  On the right side of the room is a dropdown table that stores away like a murphy bed.  It is to keep craft supplies tidy and most importantly to keep trifold boards off the kitchen counter!

Back over on the other side of the house, the boys are trying out the swing bed on the screened in porch.  4 enthusiastic thumbs up!

There's a rumor going around that we will be moving back in over Spring Break so stay tuned.

Blessings overflowing here on the creek.  We know that every good and perfect gift comes from above.  The two best gifts I've ever received are in that swing.  Scott and I are so thankful to be able to give them this home and we look forward to sharing it in many ways.
