Incomplete
I thought I'd do a quick post today.
Just a peek into our home.
(I love that in a few spots you can see straight through the house)
A peek at what goes into the design. Very technical methods are at work to ensure that we are getting it right...
Anyway, this is not going to be a big complete detailed post. Maybe that's the theme of the day:Incomplete. Ever since we began our project, people have said to us, "Wow, y'all really must have vision." Or something along those lines. Well yes, we have a vision for what the house is going to become. At the moment...I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall in our neighbor's homes. Why? The brick is going up right now. What does that matter, you might ask? Well, my builder found the ugliest brick that would take to paint she could find I think.
So, until the painters get back over and paint our brick...
It is looking like this!
Nice!!!
Not to worry, it will be the same creamy white that is on the siding.
We are also getting some rock.
They did a really nice job matching the rock to the existing old rock.
Another vision of loveliness arrived last week!
Different times of day- different light- the paint color really changes.
The movers suggested we leave the doors wrapped and off because it will all have to be removed again to squeeze through doors and make it into the kitchen where it belongs. Do you think that will give me some storage?!
The lanterns arrived too but will stay safely wrapped until it's time to hang them.
Another fun "vision" we had that I haven't gotten to show you yet is the sink for the 1/2 bath.
The sweet plumbers were worried I would not like how big the bowl is but I actually think it is going to be awesome! The faucet will come out of the wall. It's almost like a pedestal sink. Not much counter space to get wet and ruin the wood. That is a good thing! It's a tiny 1/2 bath. Here it's just sitting in the middle of the kitchen.
Here is the last vision of incomplete. Our fireplace.
Herringbone of course! The surround isn't in yet. Incomplete.
Oh, ok, one more random incomplete photo.
What's that ugly thing!? A tv mount on my pretty porch. In case anyone was worried that Scott wasn't getting to have his own input.
